In an effort to further provide active discussion, support from the community and vehicles for support, I have setup some discussion forums for the folk. This is a place where we all can visit, talk about technology and other things, brainstorm about our troubles, seek help from our peers, and generally get some good dialog going.

Welcome all, to the newly christened Solarum dot com. Here, I will be putting forth technical (Information Technology) information, articles, scripts, observations, warnings, really, whatever I can think of. I have been in the IT field professionally for more than 10 years, and for more than 20 years total. Just took me awhile to realize I wanted to go into that field professionally.

I have been in the service industry since I started working my first job at McDonald’s when I was 16. Since then I have been an electronics tech, and then a mechanic before settling on computers as the place to be. I have done many other things, but those are the high points, as well as the ones that relate to this site.

I have always enjoyed helping people, and that is why I wanted to start this site. It is my goal to share with everyone, the information, lessons and experiences that I have gathered over the last many years, and to impart all I can in plain english, so that techies and non-techies alike can benefit from it.

I am also going to setup some forums in the hopes that we can get some good discussion going, and even take and answer support questions from everyone out there who needs a helping hand.  My goal is to create a great knowledge store, along with a great community of people helping people.
